The Bag of Old Bones
When the dogs go outside, their bones get carried outside, too. When the dogs come back inside, the bones just pile up out in the yard.
We’ve had unusually warm weather this winter. The yard where the dogs romp and play was snow. Now, that snow has turned into packed ice. And, frozen fast in the packed ice are most of the dogs’ bones.
Every now and then, I try to pick up the bones that accumulate in the yard. It’s not an easy job, considering that the pups only want to play! And all they want to play with is that bag of old bones!
lil' Dickens digs for bones ...
... and gets caught up!
Beau picks out his toy!
Even when it's time to come inside, the pups still aren't ready to quit ...
Then, it's time for negotiations!
